This is a 4-door wagon
This is a bigger 4-door car

This is a 2-door version of a 4-door car
This is a 4-door version of a 2-door version of a 4-door car. (What did you do, hire someone from BMW?!?)
This is a bigger 4-door car.
This is a bigger version of 4-door version of a 4-door car...except it looks like it’s a dog squatting down to make a deposit
This is for rich people. No explanation needed.

But the A/S/RS7 is actually a hatchback, so it’s a 5-door.

Try entering the vehicle through the boot and I’ll eat my words.

So apparently the only way to make Americans want a wagon is to make it an es-yu-vee.
Nun Scheiße. Was hat diese Welt zu kommen?

If idiots park too close to the side doors... climbing through the cargo area, with fold-down rear seats, is quite likely the way to get in.
I have had to do that in the past with my previous 3-door fastback coupes, when idiots park too close to open the side doors.

BUT CAN YOU DO THAT WITH THE SEATS UP?!?!

The real idiocy...
Top: A3 sedan, below: A4 sedan. Different chassis, but both AWD, both within a short margin of the same size.
However, this A5 Sportback, (more affordable than A7) is not sold in the US.
And even worse... This Quattro Sport 3-door coupe (based on the A4/A5 chassis, not a transverse VW chassis) isn’t sold at all.

Yes.
Most new cars in the age of CUVs with rear hatches, have release levers in the panels on the sides of the cargo area. Anything earlier likely has a latch release on or around the top of the seat backs, that you can reach and release from the cargo side, to drop the rear seat backs while loading cargo without requiring the effort of going around to the rear side doors for that... and can also be used while climbing in, or even out, if ever necessary.
Not only that, all cars built recently are mandated to have an obviously marked internal trunk or hatch release, so that people cannot be locked in a trunk.

“Not only that, all cars built recently are mandated to have an obviously marked internal trunk or hatch release, so that people cannot be locked in a trunk”
Not everywhere! It’s a US requirement. My father has had a series of Foci, which are visually much the same as American ones, but no internal release.

The Quattro one has never been sold, too funky for Audi.
